Experience Chester Woods Park with a candlelight hike on February 1, 2025
Join us for an evening at Chester Woods Park on February 1, 2025, to kick-off the park’s 30th anniversary with a candlelight hike. This event marks the start of the park’s anniversary celebration where the community is invited to enjoy Chester Woods’ beauty in all seasons.

- Hike distance: 1.5-mile loop
A self-guided loop will be lit by candlelight, offering hikers a way to enjoy the park’s winter scenery after dark. The event is open to hikers of all ages and all skill levels.
Warm clothing with layers is recommended. Chester Woods Park will not be providing rentals, but if there is snow, cross country skiers and snowshoers are welcome to bring their own equipment.
Two track chairs will be available to reserve for free one-hour timeslots. To make a reservation, please call Chester Woods Park at 507-328-7350 at least one day prior to the event.

This summer Chester Woods Park will host a larger celebration, inviting the public to enjoy music in the new amphitheater, food trucks, interpretive hikes and stories of the park. Look for more details to come as we approach the summer months.
