Officials likely will conduct the aerial management activities June 24 – July 1, 2026, beginning as early as 6:30 a.m. and continuing throughout the day. These dates are dependent on weather conditions in the area.

Olmsted County celebrated an important milestone on June 9, 2026, with the official groundbreaking of the new Materials Recovery Facility (MRF). Community leaders, staff, and partners from across the region came together to mark the start of construction. When finished, the MRF will sort and prepare recyclable materials here at home. The project will also help extend the life of the county’s current waste facilities and reduce our environmental footprint.
