Alex Bunger

Alex Bunger has been with Olmsted County Community Corrections since 2001 and has served as the Dodge & Olmsted Community Corrections Associate Director since July 2023. Alex’s focus remains on advancing the community corrections field by using evidence-based and research-proven strategies, to guide clients toward breaking free from the criminal justice system and lead healthy and fulfilling lives.

Alex’s career in Corrections began as an Intensive Supervision Agent with the Minnesota Department of Corrections. Once he was hired at Olmsted County, he worked as a probation officer specializing in cases involving domestic violence and sex offenses before transitioning to a supervisory position in 2014.

Alex holds a master’s degree in Sociology and Corrections and a bachelor’s degree in criminology.
