Effective Wednesday, August 4, 2021, all Olmsted County employees and visitors are required to wear facial coverings in Olmsted County government buildings. This requirement is going into effect because, as communicated, Olmsted County has been classified as a county with substantial community transmission of COVID-19. Once counties reach that threshold, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Minnesota Department of Health recommend that face coverings be worn in indoor, public settings by all individuals – vaccinated or not.
This mask requirement will be in place until further notice. As always, Olmsted County continues to closely monitor COVID-19 and will advise when the face covering requirement will be lifted in our county buildings.
