CSAH 1 (CSAH 47 to CSAH 16) Reconstruction Project

Project Description: Olmsted County is leading a project to realign and reconstruct approximately three miles of County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 1 from the CSAH1/CSAH 47 roundabout to CSAH 16 in Simpson.

Anticipated project schedule: Spring 2025- Winter 2026 - Design and Right of Way Acquisition | Spring 2027 - Construction

Open House #2: Olmsted County is hosting an open house on February 3, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Olmsted County Public Works Service Center (1188 50th Street SE, Rochester, MN 55904). There will be an opportunity to review the project design, anticipated schedule, talk with county staff about the project, and provide comments. There will not be a presentation. Materials shared at the open house will be posted to this website following the open house.

Olmsted County hosted a public open house on July 16, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Olmsted County Public Works Service Center (1188 50th Street SE, Rochester, MN 55904). Staff were available to talk about the project, answer questions, and receive comments.
