Helping neighbors through Project Community Connect on May 22, 2026
One-stop resource event for people facing homelessness or financial strain
On May 22, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Christ United Methodist Church (400 5th Ave SW, Rochester) will host Project Community Connect, an event dedicated to supporting individuals who are homeless or struggling to make ends meet. This annual event, sponsored by the Homeless Community Network of Olmsted County, provides access to vital resources all in one place.
By bringing together local organizations and volunteers, the Homeless Community Network of Olmsted County helps remove barriers and connect individuals with the support they deserve.
What’s available at the event?
Attendees can take advantage of a wide range of free services, including:
- Free lunches.
- Free haircuts.
- Free shoes while supplies last.
- Narcan training.
- Legal services.
- Education resources.
- Employment resources.
- Veteran services.
- Photo ID information.
- Tax appointment information.
- Medical services.
- Interpreters.
Free city bus rides from Rochester Public Transit will be available on all routes. Individuals attending the event can tell the driver they are going to Project Community Connect.
