Olmsted County hosts annual rabies vaccination clinic

Voucher available for $20 vaccine during the month of June

  • News
  • May 26, 2026

Olmsted County Public Health Services (OCPHS) will host its annual rabies vaccination clinic on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. The longstanding event is offered in partnership with local veterinarians. It provides an affordable and convenient way for pet owners to keep their animals and the community protected from rabies.

In addition to the one‑day clinic, OCPHS is offering a $20 rabies vaccination voucher program, available throughout the month of June.

Rabies is a serious disease spread primarily through the bites of infected animals. In Minnesota, skunks, bats, and raccoons are among the most common carriers. Vaccinating pets remains one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of rabies to both animals and humans.

“Pet owners play a vital role in safeguarding their animals and the broader community,” said OCPHS Environmental Health Manager Cody Miller. “We encourage everyone to take advantage of the clinic to ensure their pets stay healthy and protected.”
