CredibleMind: New youth-focused mental health resources
Olmsted County is pleased to announce the launch of a new CredibleMind landing page created specifically for youth ages 13 to 18. CredibleMind provides evidence-based mental health and well-being information in an easy-to-use online format. Its new youth space gathers trusted resources to support teens as they navigate challenges and build confidence.
The need for accessible, youth-friendly mental health support continues to rise. The 2025 Olmsted County Community Health Needs Assessment shows the number of adolescents with clinically diagnosed mental health issues has increased since 2015.
The new youth page includes articles, videos, and podcasts on topics that matter most to teens, including stress, relationships, identity, emotional wellness, and building healthy habits. CredibleMind also connects online information with local community resources. This helps youth and parents move easily from learning about a topic to finding community resources when they need personalized support and specialized services.
Examples of available resources include:
- Tips for communicating effectively with parents.
- Strategies for addressing back-to-school anxiety.
- Practical ways to lower stress and stay grounded during high school.
- Local Olmsted County community resources.
“Our goal is to make mental health resources more accessible for young people and the adults who care for them,” said Olmsted County Public Health Services Health Promotion Manager Shay Baumbach. “CredibleMind offers information that is youth-friendly, evidence‑based, and easy to explore. It also connects families with local community resources to ensure teens have support both online and within their own community.”
This new resource serves not only as a meaningful support system for teens, but also for the parents, caregivers, and schools who play a vital role in their well‑being.
