Sponsor a campsite at Chester Woods Park holiday light festival

Friends of Chester Woods, in partnership with Olmsted County volunteers, is excited to announce Employers of Olmsted Light Festival (E.L.F.) — a drive-thru holiday light experience taking place at Chester Woods Park over the first three weekends of December 2025. 

This family-friendly event will transform the park’s campground loop into a dazzling display of lights and creativity. Local businesses and organizations are invited to sponsor and decorate individual campsites, spreading holiday cheer and showcasing their community spirit. Attendees will be able to vote for their favorite display during the event. 

E.L.F. at Chester Woods will be open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 5 to 9 p.m., December 5 through 21, 2025. 

“We’re excited to bring a new holiday tradition to Chester Woods Park that highlights the creativity and generosity of our community,” said Olmsted County Parks and Trails Director Karlin Ziegler. “This is a wonderful opportunity for local businesses and organizations to come together, spread joy, and be part of a magical experience for families throughout the county.” 

Sponsorship opportunities now open 

Businesses and organizations can support the event and gain visibility through sponsorship. Each $500 sponsorship includes: 

• One electric campsite to decorate. 
• On-site signage with the sponsor’s name. 
• Logo placement on promotional materials. 

Sponsorships will be donated to the Friends of Chester Woods and other local nonprofit organizations. 

Sponsors are responsible for setting up and maintaining their display. There are 45 campsite spots available with the potential to expand if interest exceeds capacity.
