Olmsted County Soil and Water Conservation District’s spring 2027 tree sale program now open
The spring 2027 Olmsted County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) annual tree sale is now open to the public. Each year, the SWCD offers bundles of 20 to 25 bare root trees and shrubs (2-3 years old) at affordable prices. These trees are great for homestead windbreaks, living snow fences, and enhancing wildlife habitat, while adding color and beauty to your property.
Residents are encouraged to use the Tree Sales website to see a full description of the trees and shrubs available and make their purchase. Those unable to access the website can place orders in person Monday through Friday at the SWCD office located at 1188 50th St SE in Rochester between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Trees are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and the sale will remain open until all trees and shrubs are sold out. Orders typically arrive for pick-up in mid to late April at the Public Works Service Center located at 1188 50th Street SE in Rochester. Detailed pick-up instructions will be sent to customers closer to the pick-up date in 2027.
The annual live native plant kit and seed mix sale will return in mid-December 2026, just in time for Christmas.
