Cover and Secure Loads
A fee of $20 will be charged to unsecured/uncovered loads.
Check your load before you get on the road!
To prevent any of its load from dropping, sifting, leaking, blowing, or otherwise escaping, loads must be covered and secured. According to Minnesota Statute 169.81 a vehicle must not be driven or moved on any highway unless the load is securely strapped or covered.

Construction and demolition debris fee change - September 1, 2021
Effective Wednesday, September 1, 2021, the disposal fee for construction and demolition debris will change from $10 per cubic yard to $30 per ton.

Disposal of the remains of burned buildings used as fire training burns must meet specific requirements before they can be allowed to be disposed of as construction and demolition material at the Kalmar Landfill.

Household generated "SHARPS" are accepted at the Olmsted County Hazardous Waste Facility (HWF) FREE of charge from residents who treat themselves for medical conditions such as diabetes.
Business generated "SHARPS" are NOT accepted.
