Olmsted County Planning department launches new online application/permitting site
Olmsted County is pleased to announce the launch of its new Accela Citizen Access website. As a result of the separation of city and county planning services in July 2019, the Olmsted County Planning department developed a web-based Accela permitting and application system that is separate from the existing City of Rochester structure.
Beginning March 22, 2021, the following two websites will be in place for permits and applications based on jurisdiction:
- City of Rochester Accela: https://aca.rochestermn.gov/CitizenAccess
- Olmsted County Accela: https://aca-prod.accela.com/OLMSTED
The Olmsted County Planning department online application/permitting site features more information on Olmsted County Planning services; and, with a new look and feel, it is easier to navigate to find what you’re looking for quickly and efficiently. Some of Olmsted County’s new and enhanced features include:
- Three online application submittals (additional online applications will be available in the future).
- Residential trade permit.
- New well construction.
- Septic permit.
- Online inspection requests.
- Online payments.
- Public access to information.
- Real-time status updates.
- Upload documentation.
Other features include the ability to search for property information within Olmsted County such as property owner names, parcel numbers, subdivision names, lot, and block information. Future enhancements in 2021 will include additional online applications. Users are encouraged to create an account with this website to access and use all the features to their fullest potential.
