Olmsted County Road 121 bridge relocation project open house set for July 29

Olmsted County is hosting an open house on July 29, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Cascade Township Hall (2025 75th St NE, Rochester MN, 55906) for the Olmsted County Road 121 – Bridge L6322 Relocation Project. There will be a presentation at 5:30 pm, but feel free to stop by anytime to learn about the proposed improvements, talk with project staff, and provide comments. A project location map is located below.

The Olmsted County Public Works Department is developing plans for the relocation of the County Road 121 – Bridge L6322. The bridge also known as Frank’s Ford Bridge, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was closed to vehicles in 1980 due to truss strength and observed movement of the piers. It remains in poor condition and has been closed to all traffic since 2011. The project intends to remove the bridge from the existing location to mitigate potential loss of this historic resource. The next steps will be to rehabilitate the notable historic portions of the bridge, and reconstruct the bridge in a new location to preserve it for future generations.

Materials shared at the open house will be posted to the project website after the open house at the following link County Road 121 – Bridge L6322 Relocation Project | Olmsted County, MN
