40th Street SW road closure beginning Monday, November 2, 2026
Olmsted County Public Works is announcing a roadway surface repair project beginning November 2, 2026. The work will be conducted along 40th Street SW between Bamber Valley Road SW and 18th Avenue SW, to extend the roadway’s service life of the pavement and enhance overall ride quality. The work is scheduled to be completed on Friday, November 6, 2026, weather permitting. Residents will have access to their properties in the area, but the road will be closed to through traffic. An official detour will be provided as shown on the map below.
Reminder: Motorists are reminded to always drive with caution and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones. Please reduce your speed and proceed with caution through these work zones.
