Olmsted County 34 reconstruction project open house

ROCHESTER, Minn. – Olmsted County is hosting an open house on June 30, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Byron Fire Department (707 Frontage Rd NW, Byron, MN 55920) for the Olmsted County 34 Reconstruction Project.
The Olmsted County Public Works Department is developing plans for the reconstruction of County 34 (Country Club Road). The project, which is scheduled for construction during the summer of 2028, will include pavement removal, grading, drainage improvements, and concrete surfacing. Roadway improvements along with widening the existing shoulders and ditches are being proposed to improve safety and drainage. Additional right of way along the length of the project will need to be purchased to accommodate the proposed improvements.
The open house will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to view the project materials, talk with county staff about the project, and provide comment.
Materials shared at the open house will be posted to the project website after the open house.
