Employers of Olmsted Light Festival (E.L.F.) to bring holiday magic to Chester Woods Park
The Friends of Chester Woods, in partnership with Olmsted County volunteers, invite the public to experience the Employers of Olmsted Light Festival (E.L.F.) drive-thru holiday light experience. This event will illuminate Chester Woods Park over the first three weekends of December 2025.
This family-friendly event will transform the park’s campground loop into a dazzling winter wonderland featuring festive light displays sponsored and decorated by local businesses and organizations. Visitors can enjoy the lights from the warmth of their vehicles and vote for their favorite display during the event.
E.L.F. at Chester Woods will be open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 5 to 9 p.m., December 5 through 21, 2025.
This is a free community event. Attendees are welcome to bring a free will donation or a non-perishable food item, which will be collected and donated to a local food shelf to support those in need this holiday season.
“We invite everyone to come experience the magic of the Employers of Olmsted Light Festival at Chester Woods,” said Olmsted County Parks and Trails Director Karlin Ziegler. “It’s a joyful way to celebrate the season, enjoy the holiday lights, and make lasting memories with family and friends.”
Whether you're looking to start a new holiday tradition or simply enjoy a festive evening out, E.L.F. at Chester Woods promises a joyful and memorable experience for all ages.
