New times for Olmsted County Board of Commissioners meetings in 2023
The Olmsted County Board of Commissioners will be holding their twice monthly public board meetings at different times beginning in 2023. The first meeting of the month will be held at 10 a.m. (was 9 a.m.), and the second meeting of the month will occur at 6 p.m. (was 3 p.m.).
The 10 a.m. meeting time is changing from 9 a.m. to accommodate more transition time between other board/committee meetings for the commissioners. The 6 p.m. meeting time is changing from 3 p.m. because the board wanted to ensure at least one meeting a month was held in the evenings to accommodate individuals working from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Public hearings will occur at both meetings (the 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. meetings), with a goal to hold as many as possible during the 6 p.m. meeting time. Residents wishing to attend the 6 p.m. county board meetings in person should enter through door C of the Government Center.
A calendar of Olmsted County’s public meetings, including Board of Commissioners meetings, is available on our public website.
All Olmsted County Board of Commissioners meetings are open to the public and occur in the Board Chambers within the Olmsted County Government Center at 151 4th St. SE in Rochester. Residents can choose to attend the meetings in person or watch the meetings online.
