Seeking township member for Planning Advisory Commission/Zoning Board of Adjustment
Apply by July 8, 2026
If you live in a township in Olmsted County, consider serving on the combined Planning Advisory Commission/Zoning Board of Adjustment (members are appointed to both boards simultaneously). The county specifically needs an individual who lives within a township.
Applications must be completed by July 8, 2026. Interviews will take place in mid-to-late July. If you apply for an advisory board position and are selected to move forward to the interview process, you will be contacted with further details about available interview slots.
The Planning Advisory Commission (PAC) serves as a vital advisory body to the Olmsted County Board of Commissioners. Its primary role is to provide informed recommendations on matters related to land use, zoning, transportation, public improvements, and land development throughout the county.
The Zoning Board of Adjustment is responsible for hearing and deciding any appeals from a decision or interpretation of the Zoning Administrator with regard to the enforcement of the Zoning Ordinance.
