ROCHESTER, Minn. – Bituminous reclamation and overlay work is scheduled to begin along the following sections of roadway (See the location map below):

  • CSAH 2 NE between TH 42 and CSAH 10
  • CSAH 2 NE between CSAH 10 and CSAH 39 (in Winona County)

Work will be completed one lane at a time, with traffic being controlled through the use of flagging operations. 

Rochester Sand and Gravel is the prime contractor for the $1,900,000 project.  Construction is anticipated to be complete by November 1, 2021.

Current COVID-19 numbers in Olmsted County are causing a strain on our local public health system. As of September 11, 2021, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) COVID data tracker found on Olmsted County's COVID-19 webpage shows that the average daily number of cases over seven days was 181.31 per 100,000 people. Each individual who tests positive requires a case investigation and contact tracing.

Olmsted County Public Health Services (OCPHS) does not have the capacity to continue case investigations and contact tracing for every individual testing positive for COVID-19. Olmsted County residents should know that some individuals who test positive for COVID-19, as well as their close contacts, may not receive a phone call from OCPHS during this time of community spread.
