Family childcare is a rewarding and demanding profession. A family child care provider may be the most important influence in the lives of children, after their parents and/or guardians. The way providers care for children and guide their growth will be a part of shaping their future. Olmsted County has over 225 licensed family child care providers.

Call our agency at 507-328-6140 and ask to speak to a Child Care licensor to make a complaint.

After 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday, weekends, and holidays contact a Crisis Worker at 507-535-5625 or Law Enforcement at 507-328-6800 to make a report. The licensor will help you determine if your complaint is a licensing violation or a parent/provider issue. She/he will tell you how the complaint will be addressed.
