Providing Hauling Services
Register to provide waste hauling services or request access to the Olmsted Waste to Energy Facility tipping floor.
In order to provide certain solid waste collection and transportation services, Olmsted County Ordinance requires either Registration or a Commercial Solid Waste Hauler License.
Registration is required to provide Registered Hauler services in Olmsted County. In accordance with the
Solid Waste Management Ordinance
Registration is required for:
1. Persons (including businesses) who haul their own Solid Waste from Commercial Sites.
2. Persons (including businesses) that collect and transport Yard Waste as an adjunct secondary service to their primary service of providing labor for lawn care services in return for compensation.
3. Persons (including businesses) that provide collection and transportation services for Yard Waste, Construction Debris, and Demolition Debris, Bulky Items, or any combination of the above in return for compensation, but does not include Mixed Municipal Solid Waste, Industrial Solid Waste, or Source-Separated Organic Materials.
4. Persons (including businesses) that provide collection and transportation services for Recyclable Materials from a Commercial Site, but this does not include transportation of Recyclable Materials which have been prepared for sale as a commodity.
