Beam signing ceremony marks progress of Graham Park exhibition center construction
April 24, 2026 marked a major milestone for Olmsted County as the final structural beam was signed and raised at the future Graham Park exhibition center, symbolizing how far the project has come and what’s still ahead.
The beam signing ceremony brought together members of the Olmsted County Board of Commissioners and staff, local legislators, and representatives from Kraus-Anderson construction company, to recognize the progress made on this long-anticipated community investment.
Construction on the new exhibition center started in July 2025. Crews first cleared the site, removed old structures, and moved a large underground storm pipe. They also prepared the outdoor activity area and nearby green space so it could be used for the 2026 Olmsted County Fair.
Work continued through the winter. Teams built the foundation, put up steel, and added large pre-made concrete wall sections.
The exhibition center will be 80,000 square feet and open all year. It will host farm events, trade shows, and community gatherings. It will include a main show ring, a warm‑up area, and modern spaces for both people and animals.
In the next few weeks, crews will add exterior walls and the roof. They will also continue installing mechanical and electrical systems. More work on utilities, sidewalks, and curbs will happen soon.
The project is on schedule to finish at the end of 2026. The exhibition center is expected to open in 2027. For updates and photos, visit the Graham Park exhibition center updates page.
