Olmsted County continues its Aaa credit rating streak – the highest possible rating – from Moody’s Investors Service.  These credit ratings equate to significant taxpayer savings by lowering the cost of borrowing for the county.   
  

Olmsted County will be interviewing candidates for open advisory board positions during October 2025. Currently, Olmsted County has openings on the following advisory boards/commissions: Chester Heights Sewer District Advisory Board, Extension Committee, Planning Advisory Commission/Zoning Board of Adjustment, and the Sheriff’s Civil Service Commission. 

Olmsted County public board and committee meetings will temporarily move to 2100 Campus Dr SE in Rochester beginning September 2, 2025, due to upgrades in the Government Center’s Council Chambers/Board Room.
