Olmsted County Sheriff Kevin Torgerson has announced his retirement, sharing that he will not seek a fourth term in the 2026 election. His current term will conclude in January 2027, marking the end of a distinguished law enforcement career spanning more than four decades. 

Commissioner Dave Senjem shared these remarks during the Olmsted County Board of Commissioners meeting on January 6, 2026.
