Olmsted County reached a significant construction milestone on April 24, 2026, as the final structural beam was signed and raised at the future Graham Park exhibition center, marking meaningful progress on this major community investment.

On April 21, 2026, the Olmsted County Board of Commissioners approved action to correct an administrative error that resulted in approximately $1.5 million more 2026 property tax being levied than what was approved by the board of commissioners in December 2025. The error was discovered through internal processes in late March. 

Nearly one week after tornadoes struck Olmsted County on April 17, 2026, local agencies continue assessing damage and supporting residents affected by the severe weather.
