New video! Volunteer with Olmsted County

April is National Volunteer Month and Olmsted County is excited to share a new video that highlights our amazing volunteers.
This video features individuals who volunteer at our Olmsted County parks, the Adult Detention Center, and our Volunteer Driver Program. But there are other volunteer opportunities available at the county as well.
“Our volunteer advocates with Victim Services are a compassionate and selfless group of individuals who are dedicated to supporting people through some of the most difficult moments of their lives,” said Victim Services’ Violence Prevention & Volunteer Coordinator Sarah Palmer. “We are so fortunate to have such a great team of volunteers. Thank you for all you do, and happy National Volunteer Month!”
Olmsted County Parks Naturalist Clarissa Schrooten noted, “We really could not run without the help from our volunteers out here at the Parks. We are so thankful for them!”
Eve Simon, an Olmsted County Administrative Assistant who works with volunteers with the Olmsted County Volunteer Driver Program, says she truly loves what she does and enjoys working with the volunteers at Olmsted County. “Our clients are very thankful for help with the simple things and it’s wonderful to see our drivers be willing to help those in need,” said Simon.
