E-Cigarette Prevention Initiative Youth Action Council (EPIYAC)
EPIYAC’s goal is to reduce youth vaping in Olmsted County. They hold themselves to be nonjudgmental, supportive, and fun. EPIYAC is made up of high school youth across Olmsted County from five different schools, and they are looking to expand! No experience is necessary to join, so learn more and apply!
If you stop by between 10:45 a.m. and 2:15 p.m., you can answer some trivia questions, and you might even win a prize!

Car seat program
Parents and caregivers often have questions about the proper use and installation of car seats. They may even qualify for a free car seat if they have Blue Plus or UCare state health insurance!
Olmsted County offers this program for all families in the county with children who are newborns through 12 years old. If you need a new car seat, your child needs to move to a different seat, or you don’t have one yet, check to see if you qualify and make an appointment! All car seat distributions and checks are by appointment only.
In 2022, the car seat program gave out more than 400 car seats. Schedule your appointment now by emailing or calling 507-328-7121.
