Zollman Zoo closed for boardwalk replacement beginning September 25, 2023

Zollman Zoo at Oxbow Park will be closed to the public from Monday, September 25, 2023, to Friday, October 6, 2023, for necessary maintenance. The zoo will re-open for regular hours, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Saturday, October 7, 2023.

The boardwalks connecting the zoo’s exhibits will be replaced with new asphalt trails, providing a safer and more accessible experience for visitors. This is being done to ensure the long-term sustainability and safety of the zoo. 

The rest of Oxbow Park, including the nature center will remain open to the public for regular hours while the boardwalk is replaced. The hiking trails and public programming at Oxbow Park will also continue as scheduled. Visitors are also encouraged to see the bison, elk, and deer and natural playscape area while the zoo is closed.
