Oxbow Park
Oxbow Park is one of four Olmsted County parks. Explore hiking trails, a zoo filled with animals native to Minnesota, a new nature center, a campground, and more! Throughout July and August, Oxbow Park has public programming spanning from night hikes to fire starting. There is always something to do at Oxbow Park!
Did you know?
Olmsted County has Action Trackchairs! The Trackchair is an all-terrain wheelchair that can be used around Oxbow Park and Chester Woods. This Trackchair makes the parks more accessible to visitors and is free to use!
What you might find
Oxbow Park is home to a variety of native wildlife and wildflowers that can rival any of Minnesota’s state parks. When visiting Oxbow Park and other Olmsted County parks, a visitor may see a variety of birds, deer, small animals, and fish. If you get lucky, you might catch a glimpse of an eagle flying overhead or a woodchuck nearby!
Want to learn more about Oxbow Park? Make sure to stop by our booth at Thursdays Downtown on July 13! We cannot wait to talk with you about the parks and the volunteer opportunities, internships, and seasonal positions available! You might even see an animal friend!
