Olmsted County at Thursdays Downtown! July 20 – Chester Woods Park

Olmsted County will be at Thursdays Downtown through August 10, 2023. Look for our booth on First Avenue North by Dunkin Donuts! A different county program or department will be at the booth each week from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Chester Woods Park
Chester Woods Park is in Eyota, Minnesota and is one of four Olmsted County parks. Spend a day on the lake, relax on the beach, stay at the campground, explore hiking trails, and more! Throughout July and August, Chester Woods has public programming events ranging from bug hunts to rock painting.

Visitors can use the new Action Trackchairs to make the park more accessible, and they are free to use! While exploring the park, you’ll notice trees, plants, and wildflowers that rival any of Minnesota’s state parks. Several types of fish and wildlife call Chester Woods “home.”

Did you know?
Chester Woods also has a new kayak rental system! Kayaks, paddles, and lifejackets can be rented through the Rent.Fun app from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. The fee is $0.25/minute/kayak. Must be at least 16 years old to rent watercraft equipment.
