Ways to Vote Absentee In Olmsted County

State Primary Absentee Dates

Absentee In-Person:

  • 2122 Campus Drive SE, Suite 300, Rochester, MN 55904
  • June 24 - August 1
    - Monday through Friday
    - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Absentee In-Person Direct Balloting:

  • 2122 Campus Drive SE, Suite 300, Rochester, MN 55904
  • August 2 - August 5
    - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • August 6
    - 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • August 8
    - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Absentee By Mail:

Sign and return an absentee ballot request form as soon as you can to ensure you receive your ballot timely and your vote is counted on Election Day. Information about applying can be found at mnvotes.org. Your ballot will be sent via US Postal Service after the early absentee voting period begins. You may send your ballot back to us via mail or drop it off in person at the absentee voting office (2122 Campus Dr. SE, Suite 300, Rochester, MN 55904) or the Government Center (151 4th Street SE, Rochester, MN 55904).

Apply Online for the August 9, 2022 State Primary

Apply online through the Minnesota Secretary of State Office for the State Primary on August 9, 2022.

Absentee In-Person:

Vote in person at the Olmsted County Elections Office (2122 Campus Dr. SE, Suite 300, Rochester, MN 55904). Completing an absentee application in advance will reduce your time in line but it is not required. In person voting is open Monday-Friday starting 46 days prior to an election.

Absentee In-Person Direct Balloting:

Direct balloting starts 7 days prior to an election. You will be able to vote your ballot directly into a tabulator or use the absentee envelopes at the Elections Office (2122 Campus Dr. SE, Suite 300, Rochester, MN 55904).
